Coolgardie Safe installation in Red Cliff packing shed

Coolgardie Safe installation in Red Cliff packing shed

‘Palimpsest 4′

Mildura – Red Cliffs

Materials were found, reclaimed and purchased. Western White Gum (Chinchilla) was obtained after viewing ABC Landline program. Fabrics include hemp, cotton, etc. Charcoal was included in one safe for the purpose of ‘filtering impurities’.

Each of the four safes was constructed in to equate to level of ‘finish’, ranging from rough sawn reclaimed timber; sawn by hand, simulating bush carpentry; with one safe professionally manufactured by a cabinet maker. The base design simulated Ikea styled flat-pack construction methods, being modular and light weight and assembled with minimum tools and required skill.

The project was a response to the theme of sustainable use of resources and the effects of salination of the Murray and surrounding environment. Western White gum, hemp and evaporative cooling being low-tech, low-impact alternatives to then current agricultural processes and energy intensive applications.

DEGUSTATION

During the SIEV X affair Tony Kevin claims the then Liberal Government relied on the ‘presumption of regularity’ to cover activities that breached international maritime conventions and covenants. The presumption is that (Australian) government officials and employees will not engage in misconduct in the performance of their duties. Also, evidence of any misconduct remains firmly in the hands of the government and its officials.

The crew of Bock’s Car, under command of Charles Sweeney, following the blessing from an airforce catholic priest, dropped ‘fat man’ on Nagasaki missing its target by a mile and destroying the Mitsubishi torpedo factory and the Urakami Catholic Cathedral killing half Nagasaki’s 14,000 Catholics.

World Wars I and II were fought largely to secure or defend oil supplies.

In Australia ‘our’ answer to queue jumpers, the people attempting to escape the bombing that has been unleashed upon civilians in countries ‘we’ are invading while providing for ‘our’ energy security, was to strip them of their humanity locked away in detention centres, so some would eventually be driven insane.

Thanks to the GreenWay Project for the ‘fallen limbs’.
